Aaron Hicks Throws Ball At 105.5 MPH
One of the great things about Major League Baseball (MLB) is watching those rare games where a player throws over 100 miles per hour, and the players who typically are able to get the ball up to that velocity are pitchers but, that changed during a recent New York Yankees game when Aaron Hicks, an outfielder who plays for the Yankees threw out a runner at home plate.
The throw from Aaron Hicks, which tagged out Danny Valencia, the Oakland A’s runner, was clocked in at a shocking 105.5 miles per hour and is considered to be the fastest ever thrown. What’s even more shocking is that the ball traveled close to 250 feet, so this says something about the speed and accuracy of Hick’s throw.
