Socialistic America is near, are you covered?
Most likely not. Since October 1, 2013, the launch of healthcare.gov has been nothing less than a chronic, hemiplegic headache. But do not fret great citizens of the United States of America, you will be covered for this pre-existing condition in 2014.
Whether you support the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010; deemed Obamacare; or not, it’s obvious the failures have already begun.
Deputy Chief Information Officer of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Henry Chao, recently admitted during a House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing that “between sixty and seventy percent” of HealthCare.gov is incomplete.
Chao explains, the “accounting systems [and] the payment systems” for healthcare claims are pending development, among other programming glitches. Security compromises have been reported, but are not a “security threat.”
I consider anyone obtaining my personal information and social security number without my permission a serious threat to my safety, with the high probability for Identity Theft. Common sense says: this should have been completed, along with successfully testing the site prior to Oct. 1.
How are already skeptical Americans expected to believe Obama’s conquest will succeed? Beginning March 31, 2014, it won’t matter. It will be law.
A meager 27,000 Americans signed up during the first month of enrollment. As of Nov. 15, approximately 70,000 more have enrolled. A diminutive number for Obamacare enthusiasts, considering millions were expected to enroll by the start of 2014.
Congenital liberal finger-pointing continues, blaming the GOP; and I would not be surprised to hear, our previous Commander in Chief, G.W. Bush; for their predicament. Whether this conundrum resulted from unenthusiastic participants or constant system failures remains irrelevant. Obamacare will not succeed because the lies are surfacing.
Millions promised they could keep their current health insurance are being dropped. Premiums are increasing. Plans are changing. You may not get the doctor of your choice. And worse of all, you will be unconstitutionally taxed if you refuse to enroll in the new healthcare mandate, unless you qualify for minimal essential coverage or exemption.
“The penalty in 2014 is calculated one of 2 ways. You’ll pay whichever of these amounts is higher:
• 1% of your yearly household income. The maximum penalty is the national average yearly premium for a bronze plan.
• $95 per person for the year ($47.50 per child under 18). The maximum penalty per family using this method is $285.
The fee increases every year. In 2015 it’s 2% of income or $325 per person. In 2016 and later years it’s 2.5% of income or $695 per person. After that it is adjusted for inflation.
If you’re uninsured for just part of the year, 1/12 of the yearly penalty applies to each month you’re uninsured. If you’re uninsured for less than 3 months, you don’t have a make a payment.”
The Supreme Court ruled the “individual mandate,” or tax penalty, for remaining uninsured fell under Congress’s power to “lay and collect taxes.” In a 5-4 decision, the majority of justices interpreted the constitution as prohibiting Congress from forcing the purchase of any specific commodity, but permitting them power to tax those who refuse to purchase said commodity.
Obama and his far left followers hope for a Marxist state. In his autobiography, Dreams from my Father, Obama writes, “To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully…the Marxist professors… we discussed neocolonialism, Frantz Fanon, Eurocentrism, and patriarchy.”
How can capitalistic America improve with socialistic ideology? It can’t, and it never will. This will fail, and once again Republicans will be called upon to repair this great country of ours.
